Ambleside Central - Ambleside

In the Lake District, Ambleside Central is a tall Victorian building, offering room-only accommodation with period features over three floors. Please bare in mind that there is no liftelevator.

The stylish rooms are decorated with rich, colourful fabrics and modern art. Some rooms feature an original fireplace, androoms offer tea and coffee facilities and en-suite or private modern bathrooms. We however do not serve breakfast.

The guest house is just 2 minutes walk from Ambleside Bus Station and is next to The Lily Bar which serves great bar food with an impressive wine list. There are a number of restaurants, cafes and pubs just a short walk away - which can get noisy on weekends.

Ambleside Central Guest House is just 20 minutes walk from famous Lake Windermere,a range of boating activities are available. Windermere town centre and railway station can be reached in 15 minutes, and Grasmere is 10 minutes away. Free off-site parking is available around a 7-minute walk away. -

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 10:30.

Kindly note the accommodation is accessible via stairs only. Therefore it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Please note that check-in is from 15:00 onwards unless otherwise arranged. No keys will be given as both the main front door and room door are accessed by codes. Youll receive the codes the day of your arrive via text message and these codes will only be valid for the duration of your stay. Rooms must be vacated by 10:30 on the day of departure.

Please note that guests are kindly asked to provide the start date when booking with a Maestro card.

Family Room with Separate Private Bathroom. A spacious family room that can also be either a double, a triple or a twin. It has a large private external bathroom with a bath and shower situated directly across the hall. Other features include a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. It is on the first floor. ;
Superior Double Room. These rooms are spacious and airy, with an en suite shower room, a TV, Wi-Fi, hairdryer and comfortable seating area. It is on the second floor. ;
Economy Double Room. This Small Double Room is cosy, but has no views. It is on the first floor. ;
Family Room with Separate Private Bathroom. This comfortable Family Room featured 1 double and 2 single beds and a private external bathroom with bath tub and shower situated directly across the hall. Other features include a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. It is on the third floor. ;
Superior Double or Twin Room. With an original marble fireplace, this room also features an en-suite shower room, hairdryer and teacoffee making facilities. A flat-screen TV is also provided. It is on the second floor. ;
Small Double Room. This room overlooks the rear of the building and features a flat-screen TV and teacoffee making facilities. It is on the second floor. ;
Large Twin Room. Overlooking Loughrigg Fell, this room also features a flat-screen TV, en-suite bathroom and teacoffee making facilities. It is on the third floor. ;
Large Superior Double Room. Situated at the rear of the building, this room comes with a flat-screen TV, en-suite shower room and teacoffee making facilities. It is on the third floor.
