Sharon has always had a love for cooking and is passionate that food should be simple, wholesome, nutritious and delicious.
Breakfast, which is served in the Dining Room of the main house between 8.30am and 10.00am, is a highlight - an imaginative feast of local produce, where the menu is varied from season to season. A sample of some of our breakfast choices, are:
- Winter bircher muesli made with "White's" Oats served with a warming fruit compote.
- Homemade pancakes with fresh fruit drizzled with pure Canadian Maple Syrup.
- Tradition Irish wheaten bread with smoked salmon and poached egg on a bed of avocado.
- The Full Ulster Fry with handmade sausages from our local butcher, traditionally cured Irish bacon, potato bread, local free range eggs and all the trimmings.
On warm sunny mornings breakfast can be served on the terrace under the awning, where guests can enjoy the scent from the roses and stunning views across the valley to the Gillhall estate.
Where possible we source organic and local produce ensuring only the freshest and finest ingredients make it to our breakfast dining table. Ulster has some fabulous food suppliers who are as passionate as us about food. We have forged relationships with a number of these artisan food lovers, so you are guaranteed to breakfast like a king (after having slept like one).
